Budget/Finance Committee
Comprised of five (5) REALTOR® members, the current Treasurer who serves as chairperson, the President, President-Elect, two (2) members from the Board of Directors, and the Association Executive/CEO Duties: 1. Formulates and makes recommendations for financial planning, investment management control and budgeting 2. Monitors Association's finances 3. Prepare the budget for the following years to be presented to the Board of Directors at the September Board of Directors meeting 4. Review monthly financial reports and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors 5. Review all requests for funding of new and non-budgeted programs and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors

Bylaws Committee
Comprised of the chairman and at least four (4) REALTOR® members who serve staggered two-year terms. Duties: 1. Consider recommendations for changes to the Association's Bylaws as recommended and approved by the Board of Directors. 2. Consider any changes mandated by the National Association of REALTORS® and assure local bylaws are updated accordingly. 3. Assure all governing documents (Association Bylaws, Association Policy Manual, and MLS Policy Manual) are submitted to NAR for review as required.

Community Service Committee
Community Service Committee: comprised of the Chairperson and at least five (5) members. 1. Encourage entire membership to participate in various projects designed to upgrade the quality of life in the community. 2. Select at least one project to invest in the community by organizing human resources or fundraising for the benefit of charitable/community organizations. 3. Submit project selections and proposed methods for fundraising to the Board of Directors for approval.

Education Committee
Comprised of the Chairperson and at least two (2) members, this committee is responsible for providing educational offerings to the members. Duties: 1. Promote designation programs available from TAR and NAR and its institutes, societies and councils. 2. Provides top quality continuing education programs in co-sponsorship with the state association and other local boards. 3. Assist Association staff in conducting orientation programs for new members on a regular basis (at least quarterly)

Event Planning Committee
The Event Planning Committee is comprised of the Chairperson and at least five (5) members. Duties: 1. Book location of membership meetings - with the assistance of the Association Executive/CEO. 2. Obtain speaker/program for membership meetings - with the assistance of the Association Executive/CEO. a) work with education committee to plan and promote programs designed to meet the needs of the membership. 3. Plans and executes the Annual Awards/Installation Banquet. a) secure site b) plan menu c) establish ticket price and handle sale of tickets reporting to Association Executive/CEO regularly d) secure speaker and/or master of ceremonies

Governmental Affairs/ Anti-Trust Committee
Comprised of the Chairperson and at least five(5) members, this committee shall make reports to the Directors and membership on any legislative action that affects the real estate profession and/or private property rights. Duties: Monitor and recommend local legislative and public policies affecting the real estate industry and private property rights, and actively promote goals, objectives and polices of the Board. 2. Engage the public in legislative/political issues that impact real estate and related issues 3. Attend City Council, Planning and Zoning, and/or County government sessions. 4. Respond to local, state and national legislative and regulatory issues. 5. Encourage membership to become involved in the political process. 6. Work with TREPAC Committee to support annual TREPAC drive for funds. 7. Conduct candidate interviews (local and/or state) to determine candidates favorable to the real estate industry and private property rights.

Member Services Committee
Member Services Committee: Comprised of the Chairperson and at least five (5) members. Duties: 1. Review all member applications for proper member classification 2. Recommend prospective members to the Board of Directors for approval. 3. Solicit prospective members in all classifications. 4. Promote attendance at Association Functions 5. Act as a telephone committee to inform members of all Association functions.

MLS Listing Service Committee
GMWAR is a shareholder association of the North Texas Real Estate Information Systems, Inc. (NTREIS), the provider of the Association's MLS service. GMWAR has one voting Director on the NTREIS Board of Directors who serves a term of two (2) years. The MLS Committee is comprised of the Chairperson (usually the President-Elect); the NTREIS Director, Alternate NTREIS Director, NTREIS User Committee Representative, Alternate NTREIS user Committee representative, and the Association Executive/CEO. Duties: 1. Enforcement of NTREIS Rules and Regulations. 2. Establish fines, sanctions, and administrative fees for local participants and users for approval by the Board of Directors. 3. See GMWAR MLS Policy Manual, approved by NAR (1999) for complete duties and responsibilities.

Strategic Planning Committee
The Strategic Planning Committee is responsible for the direction of the organization. The Strategic Planning committee is the hub of the organization, impacting marketing, staff performance, the budget and committee efforts. A strategic plan is both a framework and a philosophy.

TREPAC Committee
An independent committee selected from members of the Texas Association of REALTORS®, the committee consists of the Chairperson, President Elect, the Co-chair, Secretary/Treasurer and at least five (5) REALTOR® membership, and two members from the Affiliate membership. Duties: 1. To solicit funds from members to support state and national legislation favorable to real property owners, the Real Estate Profession, and the National Association of REALTORS®. 2. Chairperson will attend TREPAC Orientation presented by the Texas Association of REALTORS® in Austin prior to assuming chairperson position of the committee. Orientation is usually held in October. 3. Prepare and present at least one program for the membership meeting to inform and educate the membership on TREPAC. 4. Develop methods for soliciting funds to insure reaching goal as established by TAR. Special fundraising methods must be approved by the Board of Directors. 5. Work with Governmental Affairs Committee to determine recommendations for campaign contributions on state, national, and local level. Submit recommendations to Board of Directors for approval.
